"Posting this review a year late, but some meals are just too good not to share. I went to San Sebastián to try the famous Basque cheesecake, but a few locals told me I absolutely had to try the burger at Bar Desy. I’m so glad I listened. The burger is incredibly simple, but somehow perfect. The bun was unbelievably soft, the meat was rich and flavorful, and everything just worked together. There was this creamy sauce, almost like a thick mayonnaise or a light cream sauce, that made the whole thing incredibly juicy. Nothing about it felt complicated. Just great ingredients done right. And the result was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. If I could recommend only one place to eat in San Sebastián, it would be Bar Desy. Get the burger. Trust the locals. Even a year later, I still haven’t found a burger that comes close."

"Wow. What a place! Bar Desy is where life takes place. Extremely busy, loud, hectic, but somehow everything works out. After a short time you get to order your drink and food, and without long waiting times you get sensational items served, which you eat at a bar-style table. Especially the burgers are famous and sensational in flavor, but also the Pastrami was an absolute pleasure. I can highly recommend trying it out - for some drinks and a burger, or just to have the vivid experience of this place."
